Remove structural Wall

I am removing a fireplace and structural wall in a 2 storey 1903 villa. The fireplace goes from under house through floor up through second floor, through attic and out to chimney on roof. The structural wall to be removed is on the ground floor. In the attached floor plan (only 1 we have), it is the wall on the ground floor between the kitchen and the morning room. I have had conflicting views on whether the fireplace/chimney supports any part of the house structure. I need a view on what is required to be done, I will get the chimney taken out, but then need to know what is needed to support the structure (steel beam(s) etc). Also whether I need a council consent and what details they will need to sign it off. So an estimate for plan, and possible some preparation for the consent. Photos attached.
