I'm considering making an offer on a property (19 London Road Korokoro: --- = --- ) and would like to know the likely cost and timeframe for getting a geotechnical inspection done. The house is adjacent to a very steep bank on council road reserve, which has a history of slips. In addition, there appears to have been some minor settlement under the house attributable to the 2016 earthquake. A report was completed for HCC in 2008 (see attached excerpt from the LIM) - we were thinking something similar might give us a better sense of the likely risk and impact of future slips as well as potential mitigation options.
