Car Port

Hi, I want to build a residential car Port using myself and a local tradesperson to do the project. The size of the carport will be 30 square metres a little bigger if I am allowed. I have a clear design in mind based on a NZ kitset but it needs to be modified slightly. I understand I would need the design (built by myself and a local carpenter) signed off by an approved engineer to satisfy current Auckland Council building codes.
