Open Fire Advice/Repair

We have a permits to have 4 open fires. The chimneys have been recently cleaned yet one of our fires continues to smoke. There appears to be good draw but smoke puffs out the front. There are a couple of firebricks that are loose so wondering if that could be the problem. The fire in previous years has gone really well and has been getting worse. Hopefully someone who knows what they are doing can come out and give me some advice.
