Stone Cladding - cement is failing and the stone is now falling from wall

The house is over 10 years old and the stone cladding is falling. Can be stuck back up but I believe the surface has been painted before the cladding was installed. So as the paint is breaking down the stone is falling. All the stones are available to stick back up. Might be good to get a quote to replace it to timber cladding?
