Outdoor Stairway from Deck Repair
Job description
The existing stairway from my desk has dry rot in one of the stringers which needs to be replaced. There are also cedar balustrades screwed into this stringer and these would have to be detached then reattached after the repair was completed. I would like a tradesperson to inspect the stairs and advise whether I should replace only the stringer or the whole stairway. I understand there would be a difference in price depending if a full replacement was advised. Stairway Length: 2250mm Stringer: 2250 x 245mm Steps: 850mm wide with a 70mm tread (and there are 8 steps).

Tyrone and his team arrived at the agreed date and time to replace me desk stairs. They quickly removed the existing cedar balustrade, built the new stairs on site then reattached the balustrade with no evidence of it ever having been removed. The team were very respectful, efficient, and tidy workers with any building waste immediately collected and later removed. It was a pleasure to have them on site. The workmanship was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend Sorted Construction to anyone.
