Replace fitting and weld handrail on glass/metal balustrade (indoor)

We have a glass balustrade with metal fittings on an interior staircase. Recently one of the mounts for a metal handrail snapped (seems like metal fatigue). We have detached the handrail from the second intact mount for the meantime. The job is to replace the broken mount and re-attach the metal railing to both mounts. It looks to have been welded originally.
