Replace steps to spiral staircase with wooden treads

We have a metal spiral staircase that has painted wooden steps covered in carpet. We want to remove these and replace them with wooden treads made from a nice wood such as Rimu or Matai. (open to suggestions on the type of wood). We do not have a deadline so can be fitted in and around other jobs. There are 14 steps.

Chris did a beautiful job. Great workmanship cutting out and sanding macrocarpa steps for a spiral staircase. It has enhanced the look of our living room immensely. He was also excellent value.
