Repair creaking staircase

A few stairs in existing timber stairwell are creaking quite significantly when walked on. I need to get this sorted ahead of new carpets going down. I've pumped a few extra screws in which has helped, but not resolved the issue. There is direct access to the joinery under the stairs and the outgoing carpet can be lifted to provide access from above.
