Stair edge skirting / finishing

We recently had hard flooring put down on our stairs, and are looking to get the edges finished. See attached photos. We’re after a simple skirting along the stair edges, but it will need to be very exact to get all the angles right. Also open to other suggestions if you believe there is a better way to do it.
