shade canopy for patio

We have a patio in our back garden that we would like to have under shade for summer so we can eat outside and the kids have somewhere to play out of the sun. area is approx 3.5m x 4m. We are in Wattle Downs which is a high wind zone so was looking at more permanent structures like a tension canopy. open to ideas though.
