Replacing or repairing electronic sensor for front door

We have an outdoor sensor that switches on when anyone comes down the path It is a : Steinel IS360D 360o 12mtr Reach, my husband has tried various adjustments but it comes on at intermittant times in the evening when no on is there, even a cat or spider, we have checked, can you either fix or replace this sensor if necessary, a replacement can be sourced from an electrical supplier
