Set up a basic surveillance system - mount & hookup power to two outside surveillance cameras to house

Job description

Alarm Installation
Christchurch

Hi, we have a DIY type digital wireless surveillance system which is very simple (two cameras wireless to a receiver) The two cameras require a standard 240volt power outlet to connect to from the AC adapter. We would like to get both cameras mounted on external eaves and rather than running extension cords into roof then back down the wall to a power outlet, we would like these wired. I assume that as they require a AC adapter the best solution is to mount a socket in the roof cavity close to eave picking up the power and running cable from the outside lights. But happy to take advice and camera positioning is important so ideally after someone who had done this sort of thing before. Includes screws and anchors in kit. The receiver doesn't require wiring. The house is brand new so should be an easy job. System is Uniden G2720 Digial Wireless with two outside units. More info via hyperlinks: --- --- Location is Hornby/Yaldhurst in a new subdivision - Kintyre Estates (near Yaldhurst Road & Russley Road cnr)
