Replace external alarm siren box

This box was broken where the perspex? red light is - possibly when the apartment was being painted? It was shoved in and water is getting behind the holes made by the break. It was only just noticed yesterday and I covered up the holes with non-stretch elastoplast which appears to be working! The apartment block is being painted later this year so although the elastoplast seems to be waterproofing,the unit should be replaced before the block paint. I believe that the unit was placed there after the building was completed so that although there has been maybe at least 1/2 paints since (about 30 years), the edges of the box have been sealed with the next layers of paint and a mark will likely show up. Maybe a new box will cover the same site? If not then at least it will be done ahead of the next paint. But, I need a new alarm box. It works fine but the break and leaking is not good.
