Leak into lounge from roof

Over Christmas drips started running down the lounge wall from broken plaster on the ceiling of our lounge. The plaster has been cracked for ages but this is the first time water drops have appeared. I am too tall to get into the crawl space under the roof and it's too low in many places so only SHORT SLIM people can get in there. I'm guessing the roof tiles have a gap somewhere causing the issue but we can't get onto the roof to check even though it's only 8ft high (we don't like heights). 4 photos. 3rd vaguely shows water drops.
