Replacing Roofing Screws on Colorsteel Roof

Job description

Repair Tin & Coloursteel
Wellington

We just bought our house in Lyall Bay. The building report stated: “The roof is clad in profiled Colorsteel (Corrugated Iron), which is a factory coasted steel roofing. As both sides of the roofing have a coating the life expectancy is extended. The roof was found to be in good order, however would benefit from some non-urgent maintenance/ attention in areas. Some of the roof fixings are rusty. The manufacturers of the roofing advise rusty fixings should be replaced as there is a potential that the rust could compromise the integrity of the roofing.” “Given the rusty screw fixings could eventually compromise the integrity of the roofing it is advisable a Roofer further assess and replace the defective screws.”
