Job description

New & Replacement Metal Roof
Waitakere

Hi, I have a rental property in Royal heights where the main house has a decramastic tile roof. there is a kitchen extension which has a long run galvanized iron roof, which goes under the original roof of the house so that the decramstic roof tile overlap the new roof. Unfortunately over a period of around 30 years, the stone chips off the decramastic roof tiles have got caught under the roof overlap and created a moisture trap. This has resulted in the rusting out of the long run galvanized steel where the ends were bent up to prevent wind blown rain from causing a leak. the first 5 photos are of the roof. then there is a photo of the ceiling in the back entranceway, followed by a closeup of the damage. In the close up you can see that there is not building paper under where the roofs join and also see how the folded up ends of the long run galvanized roofing iron are all rusted away. the under surface of the decramastic roofing tiles are also visible. So, it has been leaking and has been siliconed up as a temporary repair. I would like a cost to replace the roof of the kitchen extension with the same type of long run galvanized steel, just as it was. There are 12 lengths of double channel iron. I assume this type of iron is still available? The roof surface is approx 4.8 m wide and 3.8 m long (being lengthwise of iron and width of iron sheets) Please e-mail me with an idea of the price and if you require further details. I am not normally available on the phone during the days

Only complaint is that there were a number of used nails left on the new roof and lying around. But this is common in roofing jobs. Otherwise, all great!

"Thanks Gus for the review. We always do a cleanup but yes sometimes will miss the odd nail. Sorry for that."
