Our house has two roof levels. The house is a ‘76 build with a flat trimdek roof and a tiled mansard around the edge. The upper roof level has sections of the trimdek which are corroded near the gutter end. This job is to replace the upper roof area with new trimdek. Size is 9m long x 7.6m wide. There is one 350mm penetration for a flue which needs to be flashed.

The schedule was delayed and then delayed again. The communication around this was delayed, often the day before work was meant to start. The actual job site was extremely rough. I arrived home one day unable to enter the house due to site dump. Many plants were damaged as a result of the strip of old roof. When we questioned the finish . Never came back to finish the job after numerous emails from husband

"Yes we did have a delay with starting the work as the contractor who was arranged to carry out the work his father died so he was unable to work
Our other contractor was available but had to finish a job first
Weather also paid a part but yes we should have had better communication
The old roof had to come down to ground level at some stage unfortunately you arrived home at that point the space on the ground for the old roof was. very small"
