Waterleak flashings or roofing iron

A leak has ocurred next to a chimney during a downpour and the roof needs to be repaired. There is also some damage to the inside ceiling of the lounge but the outside leak is obviously the most important issue. There is a tarpaulin on the roof at the moment. The roof might require new flashings around the chimney to nowadays standards. There might be an option to just remove the faux chimney and recover the roof.
