Verandah gutter leaking/overflowing

We had a new deck added with a verandah roof that runs back to the existing verandah gutter. Unfortunately, it seems the existing roof drips heavily along the gutter/bargeboard (possibly running back up the lip of the iron as it is a shallow fall). One gutter also overflows in heavy rain. Need an assessment of the best solution to solve this so we dont have a drip line down the middle of the deck. Could be new gutter or perhaps a fix to the roof or both.
