After seeing some weeds growing from the top of the gutter went up to investigate. In fact, they weren't in the gutter but in a gap between the valley flashing and the gutter. After removing the weeds, it became clear that the valley flashing leading to the gutter seems to be too short leaving a decent size gap for the weeds to grow and is obviously a weather tightness issue. Looking for a tradie to repair the defect as soon as possible and make it weatherproof again. The roofing is Gerard Tuffcoat tile ocean blue satin and was installed in Nov 2002. I expect this may have caused some other damage - there is noticeable discoloration in the soffit below which may require repair though this may be a separate job (for a builder?). However, the primary concern is to get the flashing issue sorted. Many thanks.

Excellent job in a timely manner and very happy with the attention to detail (including the colour matching). Only remark I would make, is that it would be useful to have a head's up the day before you were coming (a simple txt or email would suffice).
