Job description

Metal Roof Leaks & Repair
North Shore

There are three parts to this job: The two clear corrugated sections of the garage roof need to be replaced (photo 1). They are each 6m x c. 1m. The roof is gently sloping with easy access (photo 2). The second part of the job is to fix two sections that leak in heavy rain. We have experienced leaks damaging internal wall plaster to two areas. Removing the plaster in one section has confirmed that during heavy rains, water is running down one side of the pipe in the wall that is attached to a plumbing vent on the roof—the vent is the right hand circled area in photo 3. The second leak is a wall on the other side of an adjacent bedroom. The left circled area in photo 3 is approximately the roof location directly above the effects of this leak though we do not know if this is the source of the leak. The third small part of this job is to check/properly seal a number of roofing screws where mildew on ceilings shows the screws are dripping. This roof was repainted and all nails were replaced with screws in October 2020, but a number of these screws appear to have continued to drip.

We obtained three quotes for work on our roof to resolve a number of leak issues. Brandon and Olympus Roofing's plan was the most clear and comprehensive and showed the best insight into the causes of our leaks. Communication was excellent and the work was completed quickly and smoothly. It was great to have a major rainstorm over the weekend and for once to be able to enjoy the sound of the rain, knowing the issues were resolved. Will without question use Brandon again when we need roofing work
