Repair flashing on roof

Job description

Repair Tin & Coloursteel
North Shore

The flashing at the top end of the roof is wrecked (soft and rusted in parts) and the point where the flashing touches the roofing iron is rusted with holes in parts. Tried patching with butanol and tape but it hasn't really worked, a small leak in heavy rains. This part of the house is slated for removal in a couple of years in conjunction with a large renovation. But we still need it to be leak tight in the meantime for occupants of the house. Roof is above a single level bedroom/bathroom with a carport roof slighty lower below. See image with red marking to indicate where the primary photo is located. We've had a quote for full replacement of the entire roof and flashing in this roofing pitch of the house but 2 quotes were $10-12k (via roof buddy). We'd like to explore alternative options that address the root cause rather than the entire roof area. I don't want to run anyone around, if the solution proposed is reliable and a fair price we'll say yes quickly and look to get the job done as soon as you can to halt the leak.

James was super easy to communicate with. He had an eye for detail and was able to find some leak sources I hadn’t. Very practical and cost effective flashing and roof repair solutions that fixed the problem!
