Gable flashing repair

House has a gable joining to tiled roofing. A continuous strip of lead flashing was used to seal across the bottom of the gable. Over time tears have developed in the lead flashing and the roof leaks when the weather comes from the wrong direction. Hose is single story and access to the roof easy. Access to the ceiling cavity is not too bad.
