Job description
I have just bought my house and am keen to address issues raised in the building report as quoted below. "Surface rust is becoming a problem as the salt air environment here has a significant impact and things can worsen quickly. The photo section discusses where rust kill primer should be used. The lead edging on the ridge caps was often sourced from re-cycled batteries at this time and acid from this may be compounding the problem, so special attention should be paid to the metal below the lead edging. Nail fixings are of the lead head variety of the time. Generally these have past their ”use by” and should be replaced with modern screw fasteners as soon as possible and prior to the next coat of paint which should be freshened up before too long." I would like the house and garage and carport roofs attended to asap.
