Estimate & Repair of Ridge Beam

We've been advised that the ridge beam in our attic needs repair. We are about to put the house on the market and need to determine what the cost/effort for this would be. If we can afford it, we would look to do the work asap. Kind regards, Tori The ridge beam has a large split running 2.5 metres along the length of the ridge. This may have negatively impacted the structural performance of the ridge beam. A number of studs may also warrant remedial work. Recommend engaging a licensed building practitioner to replace or repair the necessary timber items.
