Roof / Gutter / Chimney Leak

There looks to be a historic leaky area that has started to leak again. On plan it looks to be halfway down the roof and I'm not sure if it is coming from the main roof, the middle gutter below the roof or perhaps the chimney. The timber beam looks to be stained over time and I know the previous owner did have this area patched in the past when it leaked. Access isnt the easiest and the gutter is roughly 3-4m off the rear balcony. I've tried to show this height with the photos I would like the leak fixed and any work required to make sure it doesnt happen again
