Repair Guttering and downpipe

We have a Versatile garage and the guttering needs repair. Some of the plastic brackets are broken and others need to be refixed to the garage (as they're loose). I have obtained the brackets that match the guttering. Not an expert, but what I think needs to happen is that the guttering needs to be removed, some of the plastic brackets need to be replaced and others need to be screwed instead of nailed perhaps. Then the guttering needs to be reattached - it might need to be re-siliconed in the middle. Looking at the downpipe - the hole cut in the guttering needs to be slightly larger to improve the water flow also - but maybe not :) Obviously, will take advice on it all.
