Roof over converted verandah

The return veranda on our 1905 built villa was enclosed and extended to create a gym. There is a butynol roof on the extension and some guttering above it on the original old roof. In a southerly water is penetrating. I had thought it was coming under the guttering but having sealed all I could see still leaking and putting plastic sheet over the roof as temporary measure has not worked. I think the guttering needs to be taken off an replaced with proper fall and the roofing iron may need to be lifted. The butynol may need attention
