Garage at the Kids place
Job description
The garage roof on a property we have just bought has rusted nails and needs repairing. I am not sure of the measurements at this stage but it is larger than a standard double. The property inspection said the following: Garage: (1) Moisture penetrating in under bottom plates. This is due to high ground surface up against cladding. Suggest remove wet wall linings to expose the bottom plate. Timber framing and bottom plate should be checked for timber rot. (2) The dark stains to timber purlin' s is from moisture ingress. - Wet timber trusses. Water will be ingressing around rusted roof fixings. We would like the roof repaired, thanks.

The old building paper was left up and there were a few minor issues that Dave rectified and gave an unsolicited discount for. Overall good to deal with.

"Roof was installed poorly in the first instance so very hard to get exactly right without major work .
Building paper in reasonable condition plus was laid horizontally thus to remove we would have had to remove all the iron then relay the paper instead of sheet by sheet ."
