During the February 22nd earthquake my chimney broke and there is now a hole in the roof (concrete tiles) which requires weather-proofing. Virtually all of the chimney has fallen off, only one or two stones from the base remain attached to the roof. Ideally I'd like a permanent repair done (the chimney does not need to be replaced) but I appreciate that that may take some time so I'd welcome quotes for temporary repairs also. (The hole currently has light-weight plastic sheeting over it but I don't think it would withstand heavy rain or winds). We will be claiming from EQC but can authorise a repair of less than $2000 ourselves. (Also if you are able to move a really heavy (stone) section of chimney from the veggie patch that would be great!)
