Leak around Velux window in roof

Job image

Job description

Metal Roof Leaks & Repair
Auckland

I have a two-storey house with a variable pitch roof (I guess 15 degrees and 45 degrees). There is a Velux window in the steeper section of the roof (see attached photo). We have a leak somewhere in the roof that results in water leaking through a light fitting in the ground-floor internal ceiling when there is a heavy rain. I believe that the leak is occurring around the Velux window. It does not occur directly at the site of the window itself (that is, there is no leaking in the room housing the window), but within the roof space, which perhaps suggests a problem with the flashing or some other aspect of the water-proofing near the window. I am looking for someone who can investigate to determine the cause of the leak, and then to fix it.

Michael was excellent to work with. He came across as very professional in his communications and management of the work, and knowledgeable of the cause of the problem and the approach to take to solve it. The work appears to be of a good standard (form a layman's view). I would use Michael's services in future, and would recommend him to others needing roof repairs.
