We have an ugly fireplace and surround that we want removed and sealed up. The idea is to make it look like it was never there. It looks like it was originally an old brick fireplace which has had a metal "wood burner" inserted and then a wooden surround and mantelpiece put on. The visible brick base is 1.8 x 0.55 m. The metal wood burner is 0.9 x 0.7 m with 0.5 m depth. The mantelpiece is 1.12 m above the brick base and 1.5 x 0.32 m. Ideally the job would include making the wall, skirting board, and carpet all good. We have spare carpet.
