Replace rotten timber framing

My house has stucco walls. I recently had a new back door fitted and discovered the timber framing in that corner has borer. The adjacent wall to the new back door - about a metre wide needs the gib removing and the timber framing replaced. I need to know how extensive the borer damage is. Does it also extend into the bedroom walls. Then replace gib and finish trim around back door. Some plastering work too I expect.
