Job description
I’m looking for someone to gut and re-fit the bathroom. The job includes: Insulating, relining and stopping walls and ceiling (I intend to paint them) Showerbox removed and also the wall between toilet and bathroom to be converted to a half wall. Vanity, toilet, bath and laundry tub removed and replaced Bathroom door rehung to open opposite way, sliding door moved to laundry side New lights, a powerpoint for shaver that actually has power and light switches moved Existing flooring removed and replaced. I intend to source the fittings but open to suggestions Depending on cost, may also have back door moved and portico fixed as well as wastewater pipes replaced and concrete path fixed. It is the only one in the house, so the successful contractor will need to be someone who can stick to a timetable and is respectful of the fact that you’ll be working in a home not on a building site.

Adrian is the tidiest builder I have ever seen. His communication and workmanship were excellent. The job did take a lot longer than expected and also cost more, but most of the delays were unavoidable and the costs explained. The electrician was excellent, the plasterer was fine, the plumber did not have the same high level of professionalism but did complete the job to a high standard.

"This job was a pleasure to undertake, the homeowners were very accommodating with a great sense of humor. We were not able to meet the deadline, but this was partly due to additional work requested which also contributed to the extra cost.
I appreciate the clients candor and I am sure we have both come out a little wiser for the experience, I can only apologize that not all our trades were of the highest standard.
