Remove window and build platform for split level floor

We are extending our kitchen into the dining area and so need a 1x2m aluminium window removed and the wall re-gibbed & exterior re-clad. This windows is upstairs (not on the ground floor). The kitchen and dining are currently split level. We need to extend the kitchen floor (which is higher than the dining room) out by ~1.2m and build steps down into the dining area. We don't want the flooring done until a later date (dependent on kitchen date). We have included photos of the kitchen/dining area, and of the exterior cladding (not of exact area with window that we want removed). Our house was built in 1993.
