Advice structural strengthening

Hi We have received building consent to convert our Garage to a bedroom and ensuite and plan to start construction shortly. We want to replicate the same plan above the garage as well in the future. So we want to know if there are any structural strengthening work that needs to be undertaken now so that we can build on the upper floor in future without any issues. Thanks.
