Job description
4bdrm 1950’s brick home needing a lot of love. We need help us restoring our new home so it’s ready for our future family and a blank canvas for further renovations down the track. Renovations are focused on the 4 bedrooms, lounge, bathroom, toilet, entryway, and stairwell. Here’s a rough breakdown in order of priority: – replace the old aluminium joinery windows with double glazed modern windows in bedrooms, entryway, bathroom, and toilet. – insulate the exterior walls and replace gib – pull up carpet and sand/protect matai flooring underneath, throughout the house – remodel the bathroom with new shower/bath to make better use of space – remodel the entryway which features a clunky staircase to the utility/garage and unsuitable for kids – fill-in a dodgily-built “spa room” at the back of the garage which is leaky and gross – build a deck for the master bedroom This could be a massive job and not something we can tackle all at once on a first-homeowner budget, but we want to build a long-term relationship with a builder who can work with us to tick these big things off so we can feel less overwhelmed and tick off the less intensive tasks ourselves.
