We have an old 70’s bathroom, 2.3m x 1.7m. The lining is fibreboard laminate typical of the 70’s it is chipping and disintergrating in the bottom of the shower box. The vanity top is made of the same material over chipboard. The basin is inset into the vanity top and is starting to rust around the edges. We have a short shallow bath that we never use. The ceilings are hardy tile (that you can no longer get) and need refurbishment or replacement (paint cracking and mould ingrained). Plan: Is to replace all the linings with hardy glaze (or similar) or gib aqualine (& finish so ready to paint). Replace & move the vanity (single ok), move power points, remove the bath and existing shower box & put in new moulded shower ( --- ) Replace the mirror cabinet put in extractor fan & also towel rack (doesn’t have to be heated). New shower slider & tap. Will need new vinyl flooring. Replace toilet which is separate from bathroom.
