What we need: Builder needed urgently for home renovations About you: You must be registered and have excellent references and or reviews attesting to the high standard of your workmanship About the projects: We have a string of projects which we are planning to do in stages. The first involves shifting a small flight of internal stairs (6 steps worth) back within its hallway by half a meter to make room for a new door at the base of the stairs. This will allow us to seal off our downstairs room. We need to insulate that room and we will remove the ceiling and two walls' linings ourselves. We would need you to reline that room once the insulation is in. We had guesstimate from another builder to allow for 3-5 days for this stage. We want to get this done as soon as possible as we need to use the room. The second stage is removing an old sunroom that has been built under our balcony. When it's gone we'd like a new glass external double in the old exterior wall under the balcony, and a new window . The structure holding up the balcony needs to be rebuilt as they modified it in the 1970s to put in the sun room - it was on steel poles. The balcony needs to be resurfaced and the balustrade replaced with something compliant. At a guess we would say 4-6 days work. At a later stage we plan to add a new internal door in the hallway upstairs, and retrofit some timber frame windows with double glazing including some opening sashes.
