Making fridge alcove bigger!

We recently moved into our house and the space for the fridge isn't big enough to accomodate our 900mm wide double door fridge. I started to rip off the job and attempt it myself but once I saw bracing and studs I decided it was too big for my own poor skill set. The job would involve encroaching upon the linen cupboard to the left to make the alcove bigger. The copper piping is not in use, there used to be a water heater there but now the house is on gas.
