Laundry Chute install

Hi there we have a two storey house and would like to install a laundry chute. We are not sure how possible it is but we have cut a hole in our laundry roof to explore this option. We would ideally like the chute to start in the hot water cupboard upstairs and go down to the laundry which is underneath we are just needing an expert to see if it's possible as we are not sure what to look for in terms of beams in the way etc. We are also happy to remove the whole laundry roof if needed as it's getting replaced anyway.
