Building out closet and taking space from neighboring bedroom

We have old state house wardrobes that provide no proper storage. We are wanting to knock out the walls on our side of the room, and also take the wardrobe from our neighboring room to build a bigger space in which we will add a kitset/flat pack wardrobe into ourselves. We just want to make sure we are removing the walls correctly and not leaving any open spaces.
