Complete renovation, replacing kitchen sink, benches and cupboards, adding space for a dishwasher, possibly demolishing a wall top open up the kitchen to the living room. Replacing walls and floor. Removing a wall to open up the kitchen to the living room. I need an engineer to check whether it is safe to remove this wall before proceeding. I have designs for what I want the kitchen to be, but it depends on what can be done with the wall. I imagine I will also need a draughtsman to do the designs for tradespeople to use. The measurements I've used are my own, and will presumably need to be checked by the tradesmen. I have spoken to Mitre10 and Bunnings, so plan on getting the materials from either of them. I do not have a timeframe in mind.
