Cutting acrylic shower dome to fit bathroom

Hi I have bought a shower dome from Bunnings which is a tad bigger than my actual shower. The sales assistant at Bunnings asked me to get a hand saw to cut it to size. Obviously it’s not working. Can someone help me with cutting the acrylic showerdome and fitting it. Thanks
