Leak repairs

My roof/spouting has a leak that has started allowing rain to flood through the ceiling when rain is heavy. There is a wooden board framing the sliding door in the dinning room that has obviously been bogged up in the past and and is now given way and lets water through. There may be a can of worms behind the wall.
