Walk in shower

I would like to know if a walk in shower can be installed in the unit I recently purchased in Whangamata. The work does not need to be done until later this year - from October onwards. The attached photos with measurements and diagram show the current shower and bathroom. There is deterioration on the wall just outside the shower door due to the wall continuously getting wet from entry. The width of the bathroom is 1550mm. The vanity is 1200 mm long which would need to be removed to allow enough space for the shower, with a shorter vanity being a sufficient replacement. At this stage I would like to know if the job is possible and the approximate cost. Please advise if further measurements or information is required.
