In our kitchen we have a free-standing pantry partially recessed into an older (now empty) hot water cylinder cupboard. We would like to remove the pantry unit and have a proper pantry built into the space, using the existing skeleton of the hot water cupboard if possible. The width of the original hot water cylinder cupboard and the pantry is 900mm. The depth is 640mm. We thought it best to post this as a job on builder's crack as it seemed too small a job to go to a kitchen renovation place, but we are open to recommendations for the most appropriate method.
