Renovation Consultation

We are planning a small extension/renovation to our early 1900s Sydenham cottage and we would like to consult with a builder before going through the documentation and building consent process. We are looking for some general guidance. We would like to discuss: - A cost and time estimate - Ways to make the renovation as cost effective and straightforward as possible - Identifying any potential problems and other areas of the house that could use repair/renovation/upgrading. We will most likely invite the builder we speak with to bid on the job when we have the building consent completed. I'm guessing the consultation will take approximately an hour.
