Rangehood installation - ducted through concrete block wall

Job image

Job description

Kitchen Renovation
Auckland

Timeline: Old kitchen is coming out early next week, and we think the new one will be installed after the 18th. So in between then. The Job: After having the old kitchen removed and the new one installed we need the ducting installed for the new rangehood. But it's a downstairs unit with a concrete block wall in a 1960's property, so not as easy as just cutting a hole in wood. The ceiling is also concrete block and there is no roof space, so it needs to be vented out the wall. We have purchased a Fisher & Paykel HP60ICSX3 integrated rangehood that will go into the new cabinetry. I will need to have a power point installed, but am most concerned with the ducting. The photo shows the approximate position outside and the type of wall.

Rangehood ducting and cowl installed through concrete block wall. The placement wasn't straightforward with pipework in the way but the finished job looks good and I'm very happy with it.
